The undergraduate nursing program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing - Kearney Division is committed to quality higher education and a learning environment which promotes personal development, scholarship and competent practitioners who are skilled in the caring art and science of nursing.
A total of 120 credits are required for completion of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program at the UNMC College of Nursing - Kearney Division, including 58 pre-nursing credits and 62 nursing credits.
Admission is competitive based on grade point average of pre-nursing coursework and references.
A freshman student who wishes to pursue a pre-nursing course of study at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (bet36365体育) should make application to bet36365体育 as a pre-nursing student. While completing his/her pre-nursing requirements, the student applies for admission into the UNMC College of Nursing.
The application for admission includes: online application, recommendations, official transcripts from all university/college course work and any other educational institutions attended since graduation from high school, and official TOEFL scores if English is the student's second language.
Admission is once a year in the fall. Applications open Oct. 1 and all application materials must be received by Feb. 1 for consideration for the following fall start of the nursing program. Enrollment is limited to space available.
