Learn to assess student behavioral and emotional disorders, learning disabilities and intervention approaches with an online Special Education Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) Supplemental Endorsement. This program is designed for teachers who currently have a teaching certificate in Special Education and wish to add this supplemental endorsement to their certificate.

The program meets the endorsement requirements for certification in the state of Nebraska. Students pursuing certification in other states must check with their State Department of Education for certification requirements. Students who do not hold a Special Education endorsement will be required to take additional courses.

This online endorsement will help you strategize techniques for facilitating inclusiveness among students with language, behavioral and learning challenges. This program is designed for teachers who currently have a teaching certificate in Special Education and wish to add this supplemental endorsement to their certificate.

The program meets the endorsement requirements for certification in the state of Nebraska. Students pursuing certification in other states must check with their State Department of Education for certification requirements.

 Prerequisites: Bachelor’s degree and a teaching certificate in Special Education

Teach special education in elementary, middle, or high schools

Learn the instructional and assessment strategies to effectively teach students with unique learning needs. These online endorsements are designed for teachers who do not currently have an endorsement in Special Education.

Those who have a bachelor’s degree in a major other than education can pursue an initial teaching certificate in special education. In addition to the special education program coursework, you will also need to complete the professional sequence courses.

Prerequisites: Teacher certification in any discipline (initial teaching certification may be obtained through this program with the completion of additional courses)
