The Nebraska Good Life Opportunities Program is a partnership between the University of Nebraska at Kearney (bet36365体育) and the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), which prepares students for high-demand careers as city managers, urban and regional planners, non-profit managers, public policy administrators, community and economic development officials, among many others. Students within this program complete their undergraduate work at bet36365体育, with guaranteed admission into the Master’s in Public Administration program at UNO.

Careers in Government and Public Administration
The Nebraska Good Life Opportunities Program is a partnership between bet36365体育 and the UNO Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) program, designed for students who aspire to work in local, city and state government, and other public sector professions. It offers a full-tuition scholarship at bet36365体育, then guaranteed admission into the UNO MPA program. This event runs from 10:00am to 1:00pm with lunch provided. An optional campus tour is available from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. During the event, students will interact with current bet36365体育 students and MPA professionals, as well as learn about the opportunities (e.g. internships, paid undergraduate research, international experiences, field study courses) available within this program.

- Participation in at least two field study courses at bet36365体育, including: (1) a one-week trip to Washington, D.C. to learn about policymaking at the federal level; and (2) a one-week trip to the southern United States to study contemporary civil rights issues
- Opportunity to take an international field study course (offered each year) in such places as Cuba, Colombia, Ireland, Japan, and elsewhere
- Guaranteed acceptance into the UNO MPA program following graduation from bet36365体育, provided a minimum of a 3.5 GPA is maintained at bet36365体育
- Preferred access to scholarships, graduate assistantships and employment opportunities through the UNO MPA program
Eligibility
- Minimum high school GPA of 3.5
- Apply and be admitted to the University of Nebraska at Kearney
- Commitment to public service and a desire to pursue a career in government or public administration
